The beginning of this year I really want to start being a bit more aware of what I crave and put in my body. Due to my work I spend a bunch of time in front of the computer and I love to watch movies, so there is a ton of stuff that I expose myself to every day, some good, some not so good. I read blogs that talk about organizing, doing all sorts of amazing DIY projects just perfect, how to have the perfect man, how to self fulfill my fantasies, and though I know, I know I don't strive to have everything it still goes into my mind and messes with my perspective on the world and expectations I place on myself.
So when I heard about these two classes that our church is offering I was just so excited to know that I wasn't the only one out there that struggles with physical desires and wants to make healthy changes. Take a look at these opportunities below to connect with other sisters in a sweat pouring and healthy life craving way.
1) Exercise class -- Cathe Williams will be leading an exercise class on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30-7:30 a.m. in Fellowship Room 3. Cathe has been a certified aerobics instructor in the past and worked at LA Fitness for years. In addition to helping us get more physically fit, she will also emphasize spiritual aspects through Christian music and prayer. The class will be low impact, and no weight use. If you have an exercise mat, please bring and bring a friend!.
Starting Monday, February 7th at 6:30 a.m. in Fellowship Room 3

2) Made to Crave book and Bible study -- Kelly Wahlstrom will be leading a 6-week study on Lysa TerKeurst's material which asks the question, "Has food become more about frustration than fulfillment?" The New York Times Best Selling book Made to Crave is the missing link between a woman's desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen. This study is about satisfying your deepest desire with God, not food.
Starting Saturday, February 19, 8-10 a.m. in the Koinonia Cafe.
Sign up this Sunday in the foyer.
