Have you ever asked yourself, "Why do I need to connect with others? Why should I stop and help someone today?"
And then have you ever thought, "I can't...I don't want to get involved I don't want to offend"
If you have, you're not alone. This week in Tuesday morning group we shared our ups and downs as we each have found ourselves in situations pondering those very questions and then went a big further to see what I Corinthians had to offer.
"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers, you are God's field, God's building." I Corinthians 3:6-9
That pretty much are the footnotes to this weeks women's growth group, so if you missed it, we missed you and now you are right up to speed with the rest of us. So come ready this next week as we dive into Lesson 4 and share our attempts of connecting with someone around us and no, this does not include your cat fluffypants. And if you lost your book or if your dog ate your homework or if you just need a little friendly prompting, here are some questions we should be thinking about...
1. Who are some of the people you connected with this week and why?
2. What were some of the circumstances that led you to stop and connect with someone?
3. Why is it important that you do not pass by someone with whom you can connect?
We started our meeting with this song and now as this note ends, enjoy.
Fluffypants? Well, I do connect with my Aggie and Pearl, but it's also good to start connecting with people around me. Good reminder!
