Seek First

The verse for this last weeks lesson on "Praying To Put My Life Back In Right Order" was found in Matt. 6:33 Seek yea first the kingdom of God. I was so impressed with Stormie's example of the temptation she encountered as she walked into her husbands office and was taken back by the big hunk of a man that was standing there. At that moment she was tempted by his good looks but she took off a running, fleeing to her prayer room asking the Father to take that temptation away from her. In James 2:22 it says, "Now flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart." The next time Stormie saw this big hunk of a man the infatuation for him was gone. Praise God!

In 1 Cor. 10:13 It says, "No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it." How wonderful it is to know that with the temptation God has provided a way of escape.
